FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
San Bernardino, California — November 14, 2025 — Employees First Labor Law (EFLL), a leading California plaintiffs’ employment law firm, has secured a $2,000,000 jury verdict on behalf of its client in Dababneh v. Doja Inc., et al., following a hard-fought jury trial involving serious violations of California employment law.
After hearing the evidence, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the Plaintiff, finding that the Defendants—Doja Inc. and related entities—engaged in unlawful conduct that caused substantial harm. The verdict reflects a decisive rejection of the Defendants’ defenses and a strong affirmation of employee protections under California law.
“This verdict sends a clear message that juries will hold employers accountable when they violate the law,” said Jonathan LaCour, Founder and Managing Partner of Employees First Labor Law. “Our firm is built to try cases, not posture for settlement, and this result reflects our unwavering commitment to our clients and to workplace justice.”
George Moschopolous, a member of the trial team, emphasized the importance of preparation and credibility at trial. “This was a case where the facts mattered, and the jury saw through the defenses,” Moschopolous said. “We presented a clear, honest narrative, and the verdict reflects the jury’s careful attention to the evidence and the real-world impact of the Defendants’ conduct.”
Amanda Thompson, who also served on the trial team, highlighted the significance of the jury’s role in enforcing employee rights. “Jurors take these cases seriously,” Thompson said. “When employees are mistreated and employers refuse to take responsibility, juries step in to do justice. This verdict reinforces that California’s employment laws have real meaning and real consequences.”
The case was prosecuted by Employees First Labor Law through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial. The verdict further cements EFLL’s reputation as a trial-ready plaintiffs’ firm capable of achieving significant jury results in complex employment matters.
Employees First Labor Law represents employees throughout California in cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and related employment claims.
