Jonathan LaCour is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Employees First Labor Law, a California-based law firm representing employees and injury victims in high-stakes litigation throughout the state. Mr. LaCour has built a reputation as an aggressive and strategic trial attorney focused on employment law, workers’ compensation, personal injury, and complex representative actions.
Under his leadership, Employees First Labor Law has grown into one of the fastest-growing plaintiff-side employment and workers’ compensation firms in California, representing thousands of employees in matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour violations, whistleblower claims, disability accommodation disputes, and catastrophic workplace injuries.
Mr. LaCour is known for combining sophisticated litigation strategy with a relentless commitment to client advocacy. He has successfully handled matters involving multi-million dollar exposure, complex employment litigation, class actions, and PAGA representative claims against corporations across a wide range of industries. His practice regularly involves claims arising under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), the California Labor Code, the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), and other employee protection statutes.
Before founding Employees First Labor Law, Mr. LaCour practiced corporate law in-house for a manufacturing company, where he gained firsthand insight into how businesses evaluate risk, employment disputes, and litigation strategy. That experience now gives him a unique advantage in prosecuting cases on behalf of employees and injured workers.
In addition to his employment litigation practice, Mr. LaCour has extensive experience handling serious personal injury and workers’ compensation matters, particularly cases involving workplace trauma, third-party liability, defective products, and unsafe working conditions. He is also the Managing Partner of WIN Injury & Accident Trial Lawyers.
Mr. LaCour attended Loyola Law School, where he distinguished himself as a nationally ranked advocate on the Federal Bar Association National Moot Court Team. He has been recognized by the legal community for his leadership, advocacy, and litigation results, including selection to Super Lawyers and recognition among the Top 40 Under 40.
Beyond the courtroom, Mr. LaCour is deeply involved in firm leadership, legal operations, mentorship, and the advancement of plaintiff-side advocacy. He is particularly passionate about leveraging innovation and technology to improve access to justice and modernize the delivery of legal services.
